Direct Services
Back Bay Mission provides direct services to clients in the form of Emergency Assistance,
- first month's rent & deposit,, utility relief, prescription medications, transportation assistance and other miscellaneous items
- information and referral services
- case management support
- sack lunches and hygiene kits to the homeless
The case management aspect of Back Bay Mission’s Direct Services program provides counseling for families with the goal of helping them to become self-sufficient and less dependent on emergency aid. The case manager is also a link and a support person for clients who need other community services.
The Homelessness Prevention & Rapid Rehousing Program (HPRP) case manager provides financial literacy training through a partnership with FDIC, and employment training through a partnership with the WIN Job Center.
The Direct Services program accepts donations of gift cards; items for hygiene kits, e.g., toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.; as well as non-perishable food and school supplies.
Questions regarding acceptable donations to Direct Services should be addressed to Caseworker Jill Cartledge.
